Milia are pearly white bumps on a baby's nose, chin and cheeks. Sometimes, a baby milium affect the gums or the roof of the mouth as well. Many babies are born with milia. Baby acne often develops in the first three to four weeks after birth. Many babies have both conditions at once. Benzoyl peroxide 5% cream is very effective to eliminate acne of the skin. The lotion can be used in infants older than 3 months. Wash your baby's face with warm water two or three times a day and pat dry. Do not use lotions, oils or other treatments. Never scrub or pinch milium baby or acne. Oils and creams are not recommended by health care providers in order to reduce acne on the skin surface. Clean affected portion of the skin with mild soap and water as clean or cleaner Aquanil lotion daily cleaning.
Baby Acne Treatment and prevention tips
1. Drink fresh fruit juice and large quantities of water.
2. Never pinch or scrub milia or baby acne
3. Do not press, digging, touch or pick acne.
4. Use paper towels to the affected area pat dry and discard it.
5. Benzoyl peroxide 5% cream is very effective to eliminate acne of the skin.
6. Apply a bit of medicine, such as hydrocortisone cream baby acne.
